Matric Dance/Wedding going rate

Post by Korn005 »

Hey guys,

What is the going rate for renting out a kombi for a matric dance car? Or possibly for a wedding car??

Driving it yourself obviously, and maybe a photo session before the drop off.

Hire rates for product launches, movie shoots, etc range between R2k and R2.5k per day. Matric dances are a bit different because they're not commercial. Like Dam, hire it out for whatever works for you. I charge R2k per day minimum, no matter what the purpose.

My daughter arrived at her matric dance last week in a Ferrari F430; the owner didn't charge us anything.

My panelvan was used as a Matric car once and I just asked the guy to fill up the tank.

if you hadn't have mentioned your daughter, it would have been fair game for my comment. Alas I am respectful and decided to not post it :)

I hired the metallic blue convertable beetle that was in the speed and sound a few years ago for 400 rand to drive us from wilsons wharf to a hotel on durban beach front...back in 2007 for my matric farewell...and yeah had a few fotos with it before we left ,he dropped us at the hotel and left.
