Loef, the wandering Swede from Norway in Cape Town

Post by jolas »

Greetings.
Loef (or UFO) introduced himself on the forum a few weeks ago. He is now in Cape Town (Camps Bay at present),
with his girlfriend. He is keen to meet up with VW nutters (pls read his intro, page 274).
Jurgen at Grandslam is happy to have us all at his workshop in early November, but he feels it ain't worth it if ony
a handful of guys turn up, it will be a Sat or Sun morning. So far only 2 forum members said they were interested.
Anyway, thats for another thread. If you are perhaps doing something exciting/interesting, or going somewhere aircooled, Kilarney, carshow, whatever,
etc, etc, or simply would like to meet Loef, please give him a shout on the forum, will try get his contact number.
Would appreciate some ideas as well, thanks :hangloose:

:hangloose: welcome Loef :hangloose:

So far there is the hot rod show in Parow on saturday where I have seen the Meyer and Binneman busses previously and then I think the Hout Bay show is on the first weekend in November.
Why do we celebrate the guy that invented the wheel??
Surely we must celebrate the guy tat invented the other three

Hi HR, thanks for that, I think the Hout Bay car show is around the 21st November. Hopefully we can do something at
Grandslam around the beginning of November. Hennie has'nt said anything about the Hotrod show, don't see much of Erus :(

Hey Esme, welcome back, I'm sure Jill and Jurgen are happy to see you and your tan back again !!!!!!

Anyway guys, Loef is visiting from Norway, if you know of anything else VW related thats happening, give us a
shout, he wants to meet us and see what we're up to, so lets make something happen for him.

"Loef, the wandering Swede from Norway in Cape Town" ... ha ha ha :D

What a welcome! Thanks everyone!

Well, the phone is up and running and soon we'll have some wheels so I'm on for allmost anything... What it looks like now we're going on a tour next week to check out your wildlife and do some touristy things but we'll be back from a week from now, give or take... depends on the lions, if they are hungry or not..!

Just had a chat with Paul and, yeah, you got my number now, feel free to prank call me or send insane textmessages in the middle of night... but don't be suprised if I don't answer after the 13th prank call in one friday night...

And yes, my name is Ufo Loef, Loef beeing the last name and is really spelled L-o with 2dots over it, like the Germans write (Jurgen knows)-f but the international way of writing it is Loef.
And my first name is... Ufo... yeah really... and it has the same meaning in Swedish&Norwegian as in English... long story... I guess that gives more inspiration to prank calling...

Once again, thanks for the warm Welcome! See ya in a near future!
