It's really cool to see that you still have the heater-vent sliding cover thingies. Almost always they're missing.

They were glued in place when the last owner put the carpets in.
probably that's why they are still there

I've fitted the tyres and got some hubcaps and now it looks better

Yes it does make a big difference
I will be painting it but next year this time
I'm thinking of this colour
but I also dig this colour of the beetle
The black and chrome looks very cool

Two tone doesn't look cool on a '68+ Beetle.
Go with a single colour - you won't regret it.
