Just called the guy with the papers to see If he had sent them. I ended up having a long chat. He said that he only owned the car for a few years and then scraped the car dew to the rust and swapped it with a panel beater in exchanger he got his car resprayed. The panel beater had plans on fixing it up this was in 2002 which never happened. The guy also never asked for the papers. The car was then sold to some one els then to another person and now finally me and I am the only person who is going to end up with the car and the papers after it was scrapped. The papers were sent on Saturday and should be her tomorrow. I cant wait to see them :hangloose: :hangloose: :D

Ps. he says Its a 1963 Beetle

Congrats, getting the papers sorted before you start is probably the most important part in my view! Well done, now you can go for it. :hangloose:

I have chatted to the guy and he is a really nice guy. We had a long chat about his 1971 or 1972 beetle been totaled by a taxi and he agreed to give me a set of 1964 beetle door handles with keys and to give me a 1964 pedal set which is great. He also told me that he will take the body of the pan for me for easier trance port which is great but the heater channels or rusted away and the is a lots of body filler but even if I just use the back window part and the one section of the roof and the mud guards its worth it. plus on scrapys front window I have noticed that the is a hell of a lot of fiber glass so I can replace that. I cant believe it but this project has not even started yet and Im having so much fun!!! I love this car even though its a pile of rust!! :hangloose: :hangloose: :hangloose: :hangloose: :hangloose:
Even finding the parts has been really fun but when I get that car and the pan I am going to be sooooo happy!!! :D :D :D :D

Okay I'm going to use my other trailer and get the guy to take apart whats left of the beetles pan and put it in side the trailer then the new pan on top and the beetle body on top of that. It is really going to look funny but its going to have to work. So if any of you see a beetle on a funny trailer between next week Saturday and the following week Thursday take pictures as I said I'm going to be on a camp from next week Friday till the 1st of Dec and will only find out then if the car gets home safely (don't you just love the family! )
