Bay bumpers

Post by jmvv »

I went scrounging for parts for the Opel restoration today.

In a most obscure scrapyard near Harties, I came upon two highlight bay bodies. Fairly decent with no major accident scars. Between the two of them, they had a set of perfect bumpers. I took some pictures, but my cellphone is not on speaking terms with my PC - so no pictures.

PM me if anybody is interested, as I might have to schlepp out that way again to go and pick at a GM Ranger carcass I had discovered there.

Type 3 Squareback with rare over riders on bumpers... (sorry, BK - the chassis is almost non-existent, and it has a broken windscreen, although you might want to have a look at the interior - got some salvagable parts!

Yup, thats the one.

I always find these old places fascinating. And I love the smell of old, dusty, oily parts .... (car parts, that is)
