Odd how the prices vary - here in PTA we pay around R300-00 for the day, with insurance, for a trailer :)
If it's too low, you're too old

I'm getting excited for you!!! :D
Trailer has been booked and straps ready. All I need to do now is close my eyes, open my eyes and it's Saterday morning so I can go get my van!!!!!!!

Time is draging! I don't want to wait till Saterday. Maybe I should get out of the office for a while and go get some pictures of the van.....

What do you call this beam, apart from being rusted as anything..

That is a chassis crossmember. It is very easy to make a new one and replace it.

"Roll" is all it's gonna do - the engine is in a zillion parts inside the bus

There are four steering wheels - all on the cab floor. We had to steer it with a Vise Grip! But it's in fairly good condition, needs some body work and a coat of paint, few other bits, should be ready by next weekend. Or perhaps not...

Coop - Truer works I can't think of.

I have many ideas as to what I would like to do with the van, but I will start by sorting out the bodywork. The one barn door has worked hard over the years and there is some rust that need s attention.
I spent 10 minutes yesterday afternoon to remove the engine parts - there seems to be enough parts for 1.5 engines.
I also pulled out the blue carpet that was in there.

Do I continue with this Project here or do I now move it to the "Projects" section?

When/where is the camp out?

Where can I get more info on these vans? I understood that they came out with a 1600cc, but according to the parts I found inside and the original reg papers, it is a 1800cc with 31kw? Info anyone?
