Hey there aircooled fanatics. I got my bus exactly a year ago. Full of hope and courage that i will get it up and running in a couple of months. I so badly wants to join you guys on camp outs and car shows. But alas... No such luck. As it was converted to watercooled I already felt like an outcast. So out with the wbx. The search for a suitable aircooled was on. Could not find anything suiting my pocket I contemplated the idea of putting another waterpumper in. Had the perfect candidate. 16v golf engine with fuel injection. Perfect condition. But as i am a bit of a purist, discarded this idea. Put it up for swop on this forum. Seems nobody wants it. At long last I managed to twist a local chap's arm to swop for a type 4.
. Got home with the type 4 but could not get it to turn. Stripped the heads off. Turns out no. 2 exhaust valve broke and smashed the piston into 1000 pieces. Took of the barrels and still not turning. So the aircooled gods are showing me another
please please pretty please , is there anybody that can help me out with a resonable type 4 engine? I am willing to pay it off if it is above my reach. I need to get this bus running otherwise the seat cover is going to give me loads of
