JT Watercooling conversions

Post by '57 Oval »

Hey all.

Has anyone heard of or had any dealings with the JT Conversions?? Apparently they do conversions from air to water cooled. I was looking at a bus which had this particular conversion done, but wasn't sure about them. Well i'm still looking, so any busses out there??

Cheers for now
Dan

They used to do conversions along side the Daan Jacobs and Benz Motors types. Dont know if these are the same people , have you seen a "current" conversion ? What did they do ?
My biggest fear is that my wife sells my cars for what i told her they cost !!

I haven't seen the conversion in question. I'm going out there this weekend to see it, and will let you know. Was wondering if anyone knows

I converted my late model bus (sqare box) to V6 power with a JT Developments kit in 1981.
They use to do the conversions and also sold the kit. Owner was Jeff Hills ,his son Peter is racing formule Vs .
I was imprest with the kit but pissed of with the engine .
Check back side of CAR magazine for advertising

AFAIK they we mostly done with Ford V6 Motors. Which are relatively cheap to fix (had one in a Jeep once) and can make good hp.

Problem is they drink fuel better than a bulls supporter can drink beer on pay day- especially when you get into happy mode and like to listen to the V6 roar (oh and coupled with a short 4speed !)

Camping is cheaper than therapy.
