So with the go ahead from Eben, I would like to create a BBM group for ACVW owners.

This has been done with the Fordfiesta owners and others,and it is a cool thing in my opinion.

So I created a ACVWSA group and want to know if anybody is interested in joining.

This will be the perfect way to communicate with AC owners whom have BB's. in certain cases it could help somebody in need, or to get a quick answer on a tech question. Its also usefull to organise get togethers etc.

All you need to do is either scan the Group Barcode using your BB. Or post your pin here, and I could add you.

This will only be done if Admin says its ok to use the ACVWSA name... (I could have made it just aircooled vw, but ACVWSA is where it all began for me)

Yeah that is the downside, but you can also use it through email chat.

surely if you have a blackberry, you can access the internet... which is where the rest of us reside.

Get with the times okes as you would not know what Bugspray means until you get a BB! If you dont have one, you wont really be left out as its just a communication tool, but more convenient and real time than anything else.

Bugspray, like I said count me in and see who else is keen?

Blackberry is trailing a 5th at them moment but yes, anything that makes you guys communicate more.
I'll see if there is anything cross-platform.

Exactamundo Muds. Its Not to defer from our online experience..but to add more communication.

I will always use the site no doubt. But as a real time tool it doesn't really help.

I came across the idea as I was waiting for Jumper cables yesterday. If we can have a real time group of airheads we can easily help each other out in real time.

I didn't mean to seperate the guys with and without BB's, just making it easier to communicate.

Ricky BB PIN can be found here.

Press BB Menu button. Go to OPTIONS> Select> go to STATUS> select> PIN = your BB PIN.

You must have the BB service active from BB network provider though.

Excellente, well Ricky just type the words "mypin" into a reply on this post and your pin will auto show up. That goes for anybody else.

Whatsapp is also cool I have that as well, but like Eben says, it doesn't support a group feature atm. Whatsapp only works if you have the others phone number in your phone registry. Don't know how forwarding the guys are on giving out their cell numbers... But coolios. The 1st new contact will be Muds now, and he can add any others that want to join.

there is one small possible hiccup nobody seems to have mentioned, from my past dealings in BB groups-they have group limits, of around 30 people.
so maybe if it gets too big it may have to be split according to city maybe?i dunno....

Right you are Simon, the max is 30per group. Already had the same thought as you. Once we build up the group, and if it exceeds 30, we can then do it according to cities/towns.
