Hi All,
So I've got a little bit of a situation... I've got a 1600S beetle shell that must go very soon. I stay with my parents and they're determined to get rid of the beetle shell which does look very out of place in our yard. They are of course threatening to take the shell to the scrap yard. I am seriously struggling to avoid this. Its a 1600S, the most uniquely South African beetle of em all! I think it would be a terrible death for a beetle... Once its gone it never comes back...
Anyway, I'm a student and totally strapped for cash with another 1600S restoration project standing in our garage, this is why I'm not giving the shell away but selling, cos I need the money to save my other shell from a similar fate! So its R300... Gime a shout if your interested.
Come on guys, help me save the shell. Its a little piece of South Africa's VW heritage.
Peace
Save the Shell... R300

Hi All,
I'm kinda shocked at how little interest this ad generated. Can someone gime a clue as to why nobody wants this chassis for only R300. I'm really just curious...
If nobody responds by Sunday then unfortunately its off to the scrap yard, one less beetle in SA

Hi Guys n Gals...
So the bugs still here... many people called but only one pitched up to see it. However, it was not what he was looking for and unfortunetly he declined the adoption. So, i've bought some extra time with the new story... which happens to be a true story...
if nobody adopts this bug then i'm gonna have to strip it, sell the parts like doors, bootlid, dashboard, window frames ect separately... and scrap the shell... leaving it all alone, naked and scared in the heart of a dangerous junk yard filled with zombie BMWs...
Anyone in Cape Town interested please gime a shout!
LONG LIVE THE BUG!
PEACE

OD_1 - this is a GREAT idea and perhaps someone may still take the body and you have bought some more time
After all your efforts to save the body it would be a shame to see it left alone with the zombies
Let me know how much you want for the wiper motor etc
