Agreed, one of the best conversions ever, break out the lederhozen for this german looker! Wow, should be an absolute hoot to drive!

Very nicely done, but not quite a unique idea. The so-called Nordstadt Kafer was a 1303 built in the 70's with a 911 engine in mid-configuration, behind the front seats.

The Nordstadt conversion was more my cup of tea. With a real Porsche engine cooled by air.
Nordstadt did one into a 411 car as well.
