I heard a rumour that somebody with a learners licence are allowed to drive alone,as long as they display a reflective red L on the back of the vehicle. How true is this? If true , are they allowed to transport passengers?

Depends WHERE you buy it...........
1952 Split Beetle 1835cc
1968 Fastback 2Lt.type4
1972 Low Light Bay Panel Van 2Lt type 4
1975 Fleetline Panel Van 1914cc
2020 MeFusco Beetle Truck 2Lt type 4
1972 FT Hahn SP 1776 cc
I googled the topic. Learner drivers are allowed to carry passengers. Also allowed to tow a trailer or a caravan. Will receive same punishment as licenced drivers for traffic offences.

thats what I was always told.... 25yo makes a person fall into the 'mature' drivers category. Same thing when renting a car - good luck if you under 25, if not, pay extra (from a proper car rental, not Best Beetle and the likes).
AFAIK there is no age limit on the driver, But he/she must be sober and sitting in the passanger seat, Not the Rear seat. Learner may not drive alone, But i have seen that a good few time... Took one idiot i saw that was driving alone 5 stalls before pulling away, Stupid woman did that 3 traffic lights in a row...
From fastest to slowest:
Birkin race car, not much is standard
Lotus Elise 111R, almost everything is standard
'75 SP 1600 with a few mods
B8 A4 Avant tdi, towing made easy
