Camper License disk info.. Camper owners
What are the details on your camper's license disk?
Mine is certified to carry 3 people, and the vehicle description is ''caravan/woonwa''
Is this right?

Re: Camper License disk info.. Camper owners
My Autovilla and my 69 Westfalia are registered as caravans; I haven't noted the legal passenger capacity. My 63 Dormobile is registered as a 7-seater minibus.
I'm not sure if there are any pros or cons to the caravan status.

Sambas in South Africa are good for only 2 things: showing off and sunburn.

Re: Camper License disk info.. Camper owners
For interest sake a few years back when I inherited my green 73 bus it was registered as a 10 seater. When I took it for roadworthy the test centre measured the width of the rear seats and then referred to a book for specifications. After that it was then specified as a 8 seater.
My white 75 bus which was a originally a standard 10 seater bus is now converted into a camper, it also is now registered as a 2 seater but yet still as a minibus and not a camper. It has a folding seat/bed in the rear but I suppose this is not classified as a fixed seat.
I assume it is up to the testing station to decide how many passengers a vehicle is registered for.

i Think They count the Number of seats , have the same with My syncro 16" camper, 4 seater, 2 up front and 2 in the rear, also probably depends on the testing station,

So will it be better to put my bay through roadworthy first and then convert it into a camper or not?
