Last weekend, a goods train derailed near my place at Klapmuts Station, could'nt get many pics at the time as we were on the road to Zuurbraak, and there were too many emergency services types milling around. I took a few pics tonight of what is left at the scene, I presume they will cut this lot up and take it away by road.
No injuries apparently. The load was sugar, coal and furniture. The three locos at the front remained on the rails as did most of the rear wagons.
Unsure as to why it derailed ..............

Sambas in South Africa are good for only 2 things: showing off and sunburn.
Hah hah hah, Jacques, you made me laugh man - no, never send anything from Gerson by rail
Ja, did'nt have much time to stop there Dave, it was crazy. The emergency guys were busy doing their business and the the locals were also trying to scoop free sugar and all ......................
