What does the air filter look like - do you perhaps have pic ?didi wrote:Thanks man, not sure what I'm going to need yet. By the way, I'm also looking for a early bay airfilter for my 72 Westy. Keep an eye out for one of those if you don't mind.jahjuan wrote:Hi Didi, I've got a decklid for you, good condition, to contribute for the project.
As soon as I get my *&^$#$ ass in gear and send Blitz's airfilter, I could send this up as well, if you could collect from him.
Congrats on the addition!

Sambas in South Africa are good for only 2 things: showing off and sunburn.

Yes, the motor came out of my 72 Westy and will go into this bus. Bill Noble (forcecooled) is helping me to build a real nice engine. C/W crank, engle 100 cam, engle lifters, cb conrods, 30mm oil pump, sand seal pulley, full flow for external oil filter, 043 ported heads etc etc.
I bought the bus without a engine. It had a DJ conversion done in the early eighties. The engine support brackets were removed and I had to weld them back on

Here Bill is putting on the Gene Berg full flow oil pump cover and NPT fittings

Checking deck height clearance
