Alternator for 1200 to 1600cc engines

Post by calooker »

New single pin alternator with built in regulator R1100 if you need a pedistal for it R220 new.
If you are looking at replacing or reparing a Genny or its regulator, you need one of these, you do the sums, this upgrade / change is the way to go.

Hi Rui, are these chingalong ones? How is the quality? I've got a genny for the Westy. I might considering changing but this will also mean the pedestal and fuel pump needs to change.

Are the fans interchangeable between a genny and alternator?

I swapped the split over from genny to alty and used the same fan without any issues so far.
The only substitute for cubic inches are more cubic inches.

These are China made, been getting hold of these for some 5 years now, sold about 15 this far haven't had any isses with them, they work. Rated at 55 Amps
Provided all your hardware, ie: fan, pulies etc are in working order, you can use them, they are going to bolt on no problem.

This is what I have.
