Hi Wimpie. Welcome :hangloose: Where about do you stay? Please take as many pics as you can, especially pics of how you found them lying there in the bush, or where ever they are. How far have you got to travel, are you bringing back both on the same day? Good luck and please keep us posted with the whole story 8)
Cheers !

Hi everyone,
My Name is Mitch and I was referred here by a mate, Driftz and finally signed up today. I live in Durbs and had a bug as my first car, many years ago. Reading through the forums and seeing all the busses that are being restored has got me interested in VW’s again. :)

As a promised in my introduction here is the story of Ertjie ( http://www.aircooledvwsa.co.za/viewtopi ... 39#p199339)

It's a bit long but there is lot to tell and being female I might have gotten a bit emotional but hell having a beetle is a passion :hangloose:

Hey everybody, Jaco here from Springs in the eastrand. I realy love beetles as I'm currently owning 3, but with only one running at the moment. Glad to be part of a community that I can relate to. 28th May ill be going to my first LOGO DAY and I'd realy love to be part of the logo with my beetle. If anyone can give me more info on how I could be part and what I need to do to be part, I'd be very greatfull. You guys could email me any info regarding to logo day at my email:

Hey everybody!! I am a big VW fan and a huge beetle fan, I am thinking of getting a 60's beetle and doing a complete restore. I have restored some bikes, but never a car before so it's going to be a big learning experience for me and I will be asking for advice all the time.

Hi to all!

I'm Marc, and new to ACVW. I'm busy restoring a '65 beetle, and searching for new "affordable" parts is really a mission, with importing costs and tax and all the rest. But im sure you all know that already... But I have BIG ideas for her, and usually end up dreaming about what she'll look like in the end if there ever is an end. Anyways, I hope to make some good mates here and I will definitely be picking at a lot of your brains for help and advice.

Hi All.
Have been on this site for almost two years and haven't introduced myself. I am 17 years old, I live in the Karoo and have owned a '68 beetle (Martha) since I was 13. She is hopefully up for a full resto this year. I also own a '72 Microbus L (Molly Morgan). I am still very much a newbie to anything mechanical, have been going for the last 5 years with the assistance of a Heynes Manual (my Bible) and the learn from-your-mistakes system. Its great to be part of such a flourishing community and look forward to meeting other members as well as giving the guru's a workout with stacks of stupid questions.
Isn't that what you'd expect from VW?
