Have you seen any Bug's and Busse's lately?

Post by kickass »

Hi mates...

Let’s post some pic's and stories about old VW's we see on the road from day to day..... we'll see who finds the most exiting car or bus in South Africa and maybe even build a database of old VW's still in one piece and running in SA..

Let’s start.... :hangloose:

I don’t have a pic (will work on it), but every day on my way to work, I pass the house of a old toppie where his red Sprit 1951 bug sits on the driveway waiting for him, I will get n pic for your viewing pleasure...(polokwane)

Exactly!

And for the sake of ease of reading, if you don't know how to use apostrophes, rather don't use them at all. Plurals NEVER take an apostrophe in English.

I thought I was playing nicely. I made a CONSTRUCTIVE suggestion about how best to deal with apostrophes if you don't know how to use them.

WTF? :?

If Grand Slam Autos belongs to two partners, it's both partners' business.
Necessary is spelt with one c and two s's.
Is it busses or buses?
Is the banjo steering wheel the bus's or the bus' ?

As the newly self-appointed fourm spelling, grammar and punctuation teacher, allow me:

Busses or buses is a matter of style, both are correct, choose the one you prefer and use it consistently.

It is the bus's wheel. You only use a hanging apostrophe when it is a plural possessive, ie, the buses' wheels.

Kickass you got n great idea.
If some one spotted one it then is on thread that's commented on.
but if we can use this thread to build a multimedia library of all the running acvw's.

Eben(or any one that can do it) can you move this thread to spotted?
