Howzit Jacques, I paid R500 for the front end of split bus roof for one of my projects about 7 years ago. For a full roof in fair condition ........ R2k?
Quite a difficult one, I have'nt seen many (any) split bus roofs for sale. Can you order them (repros) new overseas?
One would also have to take into account the rear hatch, pre '64 (narrow door) or post '64 (wide door/hatch).
I'd also be interested in other forum members opinions .....
(what year bus do you need it for?)

Sambas in South Africa are good for only 2 things: showing off and sunburn.

Hi Paul
you can't find them for love or money......no repro's overseas....and Gerson tells me he won't be getting into roofs at all ! :hangloose:
wich means you wont be able to buy all the parts from him and build your own new bus !!(makes our investments safe for now at least...seeing he makes almost everything else !!)
i don't think the rear door size would make a difference as one would cut it just below the drip-rail ? i saw a thread on a uk bus that had the roof crushed by a tree after a snow storm replaced....but then again anything is possible in the UK ! they just cut the roof off...drop the bus to the tar and then call it a cabriolet !!

i thought R 4 k would be a fair price incl. the vent system ?

i would also like some more input from guys that have done this sort of thing before (replacing the whole roof)....Bugger ?? the red panelvan ? seems to have a new roof bolted on..share some info please !

Just the roof or the roof and gutters?

I think we have the opposite problem, our roof seems fine but passenger side gutters are seriously rotten.
