OK - after reading about the HAZET tool kits, I can offer someone a Hazet plug spanner if they need it for a collection. I've got NO idea if this is even the right one, but it says Hazet 764 germany and the letters D.B.G.M
So if you need this - give a shout, otherwise I'll just use it for it's intended purpose.

Hi - I'm sorry but someone else PM'ED me at 8 this morning. I'll have to work according to "who was first". So if he turns it down - I'll let you know.

Picked up this Baywindow air conditioner unit earlier this year, complete. You dont see these to often. It is still in very good condition except for one small chip out of one corner. Plan is to fit it into my white 75 panel van. The only thing I would change is to replace the single cylinder York compressor for a more efficient modern one, the mounting of the compressor was also a bit shoddy as it hacked into the body and tin ware and never sealed properly. I should be able to make some sort of bracket to mount a new compressor, possibly somewhere on top of the fan shroud.

Those summer trip's through the Karoo will be great when this air-con is fitted. 8)

Congrats! That is a nice find.

Does the condensor radiator fit horizontally on the belly pan? Any pics or literature of the installation?

The first pic is how the condenser is mounted under the floor pan; it appears to be quite unobtrusive.

The receiver dryer is mounted in the wheel arch.

Here perhaps is the idea I had in mind, not such a contraption as this one with an additional alternator but similar. I won’t have to hack the engine bay for the original compressor and I can use a more efficient one. I have the same pulley attachment as the in this pic.

Here is a link to the diagram for installation, it is for the under dash unit but the rest is the same.

As far as I know it Looks like a Drager guage??

Is it a VDO, or what make is it please for interest sake? Drager used to be the replacement guage of choice in some countries where extra guages were needed for oval, splits and buses... then they were more affordable than Denhe, and MotoMeter ones... now they go for obscene amounts...

Let me know when you check please as I have another similar one in my collection for someone who might be interested. Will scratch it out tonight...

Looks very similar to these ones I have in my beetles dash pod... or least a nice addition... right Pine

Looks a near fit with these gauges in the brochure though...! Good one... hold onto it .... securely! :D

Yes I do. Motometer were distributed by hella in the uk and were used as the gauge of choice in the oval beetle era when your sspartan dash needed an upgrade or addition. Quite a pity the needle is off the pin as it would mean the gauge now would not measure correctly even if hooked up to the engine. This gauge read the oil temp mechanically and would probably work if you could be bothered to hook it up to the oil sump or the dipstick afaik. I have a few of them. Will post pic in the morning
