Ordering parts from VWheritage.co.uk

Post by MINCE »

I have to (unless someone helps me otherwise) order some parts from vwheritage.
So if anyone in Cape Town wants to jump in with their own order and share shipping costs, let me know. Gonna probably do it is two weeks when they have new stock of a part I need

I also need some parts from them, but hell they want to charge me more for the shipping than what the parts are worth.
I wonder what happened to that thread where the guys wanted to pitch in and get a container...
Ill read up on that

I've just brought stuff in from Just Kampers.com
Parts took 4 days to arrive at OR Tambo and 2 weeks later having paid the duties and VAT I'm still waiting for it
I brought in the following :-

Oil Filler Breather
Pair of Rocker Covers (Bolt On Aluminium)
Oil Filler Cap (Aluminium)
Magnetic Drain Plug
Oil Filler Tube (Vented, Polished)
Carburettor Rebuild Kit
Inlet Manifold Gasket
Brake Shoe Fitting Kit (Rear)
Just Beetles Catalogue 2011

They charged 27 pounds for the lot...........now
How to get it out of those idiots at OR Tambo

Hi alants, I've also had similar issues. Normally DPD (JustKampers' courier company) hands over to Skynet, who are useless. Excise and Duties gets paid to them, they pay to SARS and release should follow, with Skynet delivering to your door.

Here are some numbers to follow up on, the import controller's name is Phuti Matlala (phutim at skynet.co.za).
(011) 390 2536
(011) 390 3237
(011) 390 3274
(011) 390 3271
Also request your waybill number, as the UK waybill number changes once they receive it in SA and it will help to have your corresponding SA number to track. (Sorry for the thread-jack)

You should deal with DHL, they collect pay duty's, run it through customs, give you the total, you pay, you get stuff.
