It's been discussed before I know, but Melville proper is known as being a hot-spot for Beetle thievery. I used to go there often in my old bug. Even the car guards on 7th have warned me that many Beetles have been stolen from there in the past. About three weeks ago I was there and saw and oval parked on the corner of 4th and 7th, naturally I stopped to have a look. It was a very dark green and had no plates on it
(asking for trouble if you ask me). I did see a hint of a number plate in the passenger footwell and it looked to be from Botswana...I try and not go there in the old bug anymore.
