So the box has been fixed and I am still battling to get all gears well. The idea was that the wife would be able to drive the bus, but so far no good. Reverse is tricky and going 3-2 is painful. The box guys blame the shift mechanism, and i probably agree.
Does anyone here have any helpful info on finding the bushes to tighten up the linkage?
Looks like I need this, but perhaps there is something that may help sooner.. for 67 DC

There is a plate underneath the gearlever that needs adjustment for reverse lockout. if it is misadjusted, first and second may be difficult to engage. If it is misadjusted the other way, going from third to second will be difficult, as it is trying to go into second and reverse at the same time, with the safety mechanism in the gearbox havin a hard time to avoid it. The two 13 mm bolts at the bottom of the lever has to be loosened slightly for this adjustment. There is a plate underneath that can be moved from the sides with a screwdriver.
If the lever movement is sloppy, get underneath and get someone to move the gearlever.See if it is the coupling at the gearbox or the bush at the front below the gearlever. There are also some bolts locked with wire.
See that they are not loose.

Its the one at the front that seems the worst. . Anyone got one? No wires on the back one, a small concern. .
