Perhaps not worth a lot, yet still interesting - I found this old Formula Vee cloth badge at Piston Ring yesterday - think it dates back to the early 80's

Nice badge Pine!

Splitbusaholic... hey dude... I just had a closer look at your gauge and initially thought the needle was broken off... After enlarging the pic all looks fine as it mounts at the bottom of the gauge. Try hooking it up and and see if it works... only problem I see is that its not resting on the left hand side and looks as if it moves freely along...

Roof racks

Post by Zeb »

Just got myself some beetle roof racks.

They're actually replica's of the original that a friend of a friend shipped back from London
in the 90s. They look perfect and are in great condition.

Great bargain too!

hi guys

an old friend told me last week he had some beetle parts from when he had a beetle or 2 that he wanted to get rid of. he brought them to me last night.

1x set mint oval tail lights in dove blue, and a set of incomplete heart tail lights, have the lenses and bases but no bulb holders or seals.

and No they are not for sale.

Hi,
I was told a while back by my sister in law's husband that on their family farm they had old vw's rotting in the veld, so i asked him to take pictures when he goes there again. This is what he sent me.

2 single cab bakkies!
This is where the good news comes in! I asked him what he wanted for them and told me he has no use for them and that can just come pick them up!
Now i need to make plans to get them, they are on a farm close to Reddersburg in the Free State!

Isn’t that one of the best feelings when such luck is found?

Word of mouth is how to find these lost busses. I am sure there are a lot more out there, they are just nowhere near a road.

Nice Find :hangloose:
