Auto Gear BCA530 battery charger

Post by MINCE »

As per the demands of retrovan ;)

Here is the battery charger my father got to keep his Ford Telstar and Beach Buggie charged up battery wise.

This is what he had to say (in his heavy portuguese accent :) )
'this charger thing works great. you charge the battery, when it gets full, it stops charging, and if the battery drops charge, it charges again'

Now, my dad is an electrical engineer, so I believe him.

He got it from Midas I believe, and as you can see in picture, it charges both 6V and 12V! HAPPY DAYS!

Thank you Mince,

Now all the guys with 6v systems can SEE what they need, to stop those unpleasant winter push starts...  .

Built one my self, ..but looks like :bn: That is why I did not post a photo of it..

It will not harm the battery, and is perfect for the RV /Camping Battery as well.
Good investment.

Thanks again.

My grande papi got one of those keeping his ride charged, sometimes up to a month without driving, starts first time every time. lovely investment for a non daily drive. I want to get one when they are on special again.

I have the same one, branded differently.... charges my son's "bike" and car batterties. Also standard or gel types. Was dirt-cheap from Argos in the UK.
