I'll be dropping mine soon, as the ride is very bouncy and the car stands at a very funny angle.
Why do we celebrate the guy that invented the wheel??
Surely we must celebrate the guy tat invented the other three

Re: What did you do on your car today?
I walked to mine, pulled it out of the garage, drove it to work, drove it from work. Drove around the block just once more before going home on account of its so much fun to drive it. I driver her every day and never a dull moment.
The weekend passed she got a new coil as she left me on the north east expressway saturday night at 22h00 moering the old coil with a spanner to get me home. It worked, and got me to midas on sunday morning where i bought my new coil and fitted it in the parking lot before carrying on to the gf's house for sunday lunch.
Tonight after work, refitted my refurbished roofrack.

Powder coated the bumpers, made the appointment with the cosmetic surgeon and day spa for monday bright and early. Spoke to the guy responsible for my sp carbs, said we can install sooner rather than later. Its looking good. My road trip in september is going to be awesome.

So I fitted the 40 webers, and my car now runs a sub 10 second 0 - 100 easily. goes uphill at 120 without flinching, even with Buggers longer 4th. and pulls like a a demon on a rope. I think a 1776 and a beetle is a good match...

Pulled the steering wheel, what a mission ! I forgot to put the spring in it the last time I installed it.
Does anybody know what the use is of that spring?
Also did some tiling inside the bus. Yes tiling.

Re: What did you do on your car today?
Tried to buff out the scratches and chips from the kitty litter excursion i had last weekend
But today will be beetle time. Need to find out why the 1 puma isn't cranking properly, find out why the same puma isn't starting once warm (Bosch blue coil, need to check it) and need to make a holding strap to keep my beetle back seat from flipping forward when i brake...
