Re: New Members - Introduce yourself..
Hello!
My name is George Bramley and I am 15 years old. I live in Durbanville. I am very interetsed in cars and fixing them. I recently bought a half finished Pipe car/ Buggy with a VW 1600 beetle engine in it that I am busy finishing. I joined the forum via Dave Taylor who told me about it. I hope to get lots of help and advice on it.
Thanks for creating a forum just for aircooled!
George

Re: New Members - Introduce yourself..
1600 74' VW Beetle:::
I'm Trevor and I'm from Durban. I just recently bought my beetle which I came across quite by accident. It was love at first sight. I plan on turning her into a show beetle over the next couple of months... maybe years.
I'll have a better look at the Topics Index and ask some questions about parts and accessories in Durban. So far my investigations here have been fruitless. Oh well, no one said it'll be easy.

I'm 62 years old and live outside Eugene, Oregon. I'm driving a '69 FI/AT square. I bought my first square 5 years ago, but now am parting out/cutting up 6 more. I sent my '67 dash & Tram's '63 dash to Herman for his use in producing the LHD dashes. Merlin has posted pics of a lot of 'outrageous' VW's over there in SA on http://www.TheSamba.com

Hi all. My name is Johan, and I'm a Volsieholic.
I have been on the forum for a while, and for some reason, never introd my-self. (must be in denial)
Anyway, i have been into the VW scene for a good 15yrs already. i have always loved these little beauties and honestly, would drive nothing else given the oppurtunity.
I reside on the sunny south coast of KZN, ie Scottsburgh, and i tell you what, this is classic VW cruising world.
As far as my beetles go, i have had a couple of really nice ones, and one or two shockers that became spares.
Currently, i have a 69 beetle that i will place on the forum with some pics attached.
feels good to have broken the silence, i'm looking forward to being part of this community for a very long time.
thanks...
