3 wheeled beetle

Post by MINCE »

Hey guys, I saw this image when i was searching for decals.
Image

I think it is a fun idea and I wonder if it can actually work. Anyone wanna partake in a "could this be done, and possibly how?" discussion?

Ya, possible. BUT to save having to do too much to the bike suspension because of the massive increase in weight, I would run a glass body (like Vaders) and a space frame underneath it with a full racing setup for the front suspension. And the body would be level, or half inch lower in the front, not ass pointing to the skies...

so you will have the rear wheel cutting 'through' the rear as opposed to having the body 'over' it as in the picture?

I think your suggestion of a FG body would be s-mart

It would be ridiculous and pointless - in which case build it like the first one.

Hell, do a clear roof insert so you've got something to look through while you're at it...

Rediculous and pointless is exactly why these things get built. :)
