Hi guys,

I'm sure this questioned has been asked a thousand times.
I want to lower the front of my 74' beetle.

Can I DIY this?

the DIY part is dropped spindles.
without knowing your skills, you could also cut your beam and weld in adjusters. Depending on what else you are doing and how far, you may need to narrow it too.
so, if you are good with mathematics, and welding, ya, you can DIY this

Do a search, like you said been answered enough. Where are you based? There are some peeps that can and are willing to do it for a fee..

DIY only if you handy with the steel if you whadda mean.... Haha haaad to. "Regulators Mount up" lol

DIY the removal of the front end and send it off to Mr Bugger to do some top notch welding in of adjusters. Refit, adjust and schedule a few dentist appointments :)

I am quite the DIY guy but dn't think I want to take this chance. Sounds complicated.

In Slaap stad yo can Remove your H Beam and strip off the stub axles and steering box
All you leave on is the trailing arms

Then you go see Dave Rowley and he has Exchange units in stock to swop out your H beam for one that has the Adjusters welded in and ready for you to Re install all your other goedies
Adapterplates Available for Rotary in Beetle and others aswell
And Special Boxes built for Rotary Conversions and Scubies

R1300 for the lowered beam at Dave Rowley.

I'd suggest just leaving it standard height.

And ill tell you if you weigh in your hourly rate at work, and calculate the time it would take you to diy it, it would come to more than that.
