Hi Jerome,
Welcome to this forum, mad, laughable, but truly a decent bunch of VW lovers.
Most of your present as well as future questions have been dealt with here in the past, and can be found by placing some key words in the search block at the left top of each page.
This will give you all the threads on that subject, but, hey !, you can ask them again, there is a lot of help here....

I AM A NEW MEMBER

Post by wepener »

I wish to introduce myself as I have joined the Forum very recently. I live in Welgemoed, Bellville near Cape Town and I am the proud
owner of a 1974 ligth green 1600 Beetle. I am the second owner. The first owner bougth it new in Oudtshoorn and I bought it from
him two years ago. The car is totally original with no modifications of whatsoever nature but I did put on a set of Rosstyles
recently in place of the original rims with hupcaps with I store for future use.I am of the older generation and cannot
operate computors very well and therefor do not know how to put a photo on here. Maybe I can forward a photo per email
to some-one who can put it on the Forum on my behalf.

Hi guys, My name is Loedie and I actually work abroad and every so often come back to SA for holidays. I normally spend my time at home working on bikes/cars either restoring or modifying them. I have owned VW before in the past but it has been some time that I had one again. I have recently bought a 67 Notchback and I am planning to restore it with some hidden upgrades. I have lots to learn and that is the main reason why I have joined the forum as most of you guys probably have a wealth of experience. I will be looking forward to controbute to were I can on the forum and once I get started with my project I will gladly post progress on my Nothch. Oh yes dont ask me anything now about my Notch as I havent even seen it yet...I will get my first view of it next week when I arrive back in SA again.

Hi Guys & Gals. I've owned my 1995 Porsche 993 ( 993 SERIES =last of the air cooled) for just over a year and enjoy it immensely.
But then, I believe that water cooled Porsche's are the work of the devil.
VIVA AIR COOLED!
