When is it enough?

Post by RICKY-R69 »

Hi everybody.

I was wondering,is there a cure for this aircooled madness. It all started 3 years ago when I bought my baywindow bus and joined this forum. After looking at all the projects of the guys on here, I wondered, shouldn't I get a beetle as well? Not long after that I bought a bug for my son and we fixed it up. So I thought, maybe I should get one for myself, and did. With 2 beetles now, we need spares. So I started looking for a donor car. Ended up buying 2. After careful inspection, decided the one is too good to be hacked, so it became a future project. The other one has got bad rust on the rear end only, so this one will be turned into a bakkie in future. As I am staying on a farm, there is lekker space to jol, so a pipe car will be nice. Came across a shortened beetle/baja thingy and bought that as well. So in the end there is five beetles and 2 baywindow busses in my yard now, and guess what? I am looking for a donor

You don't need a donor, you need a doctor, LOL But I must remind you that there is no cure for this illness, my wife has been looking for the cure or a brain surgeon to help but... No luck.

I think there is a problem with the term "Enough"

When the wife wants a new washing machine, there is never enough.

When there is need for a part, or new project car, there is always enough.

When the wife wants a garage for her car, there are not enough.

When the project is on, there is always garages enough.

Wonder how that works............

Sorry, like all addicts, we only discover too late that there is no escape from our affliction. To quote a bunch of rocking pensioners who are currently being wheeled around the country: "You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave."

The good news is that you can treat the symptoms! Any time that feeling comes on, go out and buy another car! :hangloose:

It will never end!! But I know it is a good thing! Once you start you always have more ideas for your project and future projects!! Even my wife wanted a Beetle when we started looking around for a car for her. Now I have another Beetle to care for and a lot of requests of what should be done to it :?

I am in need of a cure. Bought another 2 Beetles this week-end. This off course upset my budget for my bus project, but what the hell. I could not let it pass by :D

Nice on Ricky-R69, Thanks for not letting the side down,

One never knows what you will do if you did not have a regular FIX.......

When had, the rest of the world can float by, the marriage is safe, the kids can ignore the dad again, the guys next door are happy, due to the noise, dogs got someone to be with, man its a happy life.... ]

Addiction has never been cheap. that the only thing....

This bug is worse than HIV

I thought that If I started a business it would help, most of the time as soon as you start doing it for someone else it stops in it's tracks.

This however did not help, today I have close to a hundred of these rear engined "bugs" and bought 3 more last week.when is it going to stop!!!!

There are even 2 parked in my lounge.

I would pay for a cure,I think...........maybe not.
