Hi I'm new to the forum. I've had my beachbuggy all my life. It was my dad's since before I was born. I bought it over from him a few years ago. needs some cleaning and a new spray job, but it's mine and I love it. I will be asking a lot of questions from you guys. I've learned alot from my dad and some from experience. Next major project is to convert the drum brakes to disc, as soon as I can afford it that is.
Cheers

Hi Guys,

Noob here. Just wanted to introduce myself. I am currently working on a 1968 Beetle with 13B Rotary Turbo motor. 284 kw on the rear weels

Took it off a guy a few weeks ago, they used to drag with it and it's been standing for some time but overall in pretty good nic with notthing really major being wrong.

Drivers and Passengers door have a bit of rust on the bottom and would probably need replacing someday but not a priority at the moment, need to replace the speedo cable this weekend and i also need to replace the rubbers on the windows (hence rust in the doors)

Going to be taking it next week for a "checkup" as it's got a bit of a oil leak and went crawling underneath the car but couldn't see anything.

Also looking to replace the speedo with a digital one but cant seem to find a converter like this in JNB (see link), if any of you guys know anyone in the Jo'burg area please let me know.

See below a few pics.

Cheerz and enjoy the long weekend!

Hi All,

Just bought a Beamish Bug, hoping to restore it to a fine Air Cooled machine.
Has a 1600 Twin Port with Stainless Pipe, Hard Top with Sides and nerf bars.

I will be seeking advice from time to time starting with where can I get floor pans in Cape Town?

Looking forward to interacting with everyone.

Regards,

Craig
