Hi
I'm Piet du Preez and I only recently discovered this forum. I rebuilt a couple of Beetles and more recently a '64 Type 3 fastback. I am currently building a Porsche 550 and I'm trying to get as close as possible to the real thing.

I live on the East Rand and spend my days on computers.

Hi guys i'm Matthew situated out in Rustenburg.

Drive a 1976 Type 1 which is in the process of a heart transplant.

Old heart was a bit small so decided to give it a new view (fast view that is) on life.

Bugger is in the process of fitting a 13BT.

Will hopefully get it back soon.

Hi guys,

My name is Dick but everyone calls me Vaatjie. I am new to vw aircooled scene. I currently have a 1968 Bay window kombi. The year has been quest.
It still needs a full restoration to be done to it. It needs a box and engine. The body needs atentions and so on. Any info or advice and even part going about restoring the kombi will be much appreciated. I would like to have a hole collection of old aircooled vw's.

What a think about http://www.aircooledvwsa.co.za ? Its one of the best site I have resently found.

Kind regards,

Dick

Hi Everyone

My names Aspro and I'm an Aussie currently living in the UK with my wife and 2 kids. We have bought a caravan and are travelling Europe for a couple of years, working and drinking all the way. Having an absolute ball.

I've had a VW addiction since I can remember. My wife doesn't seem to understand the countless hours I spend obsessing over them. My latest obsession is to find a super solid OG early baywindow single cab.

I hope I can help with my limited knowlege of all things VW. I'll do my best to be an active and helpful forum member.

That's all for now

Easy on Ricky. You don't think I'm a dirty Pommy poacher do you?

The Brits have been stealing our vans for years so I know exactly how you all feel. Trouble is now the Aussie $ is so strong they can't afford our prices. There's a lesson for you SA here.
