Re: 78 late Bay , nope 1979
Not going atm as the upholster Yvane took the bus to used to heavy material and the roof linning keeps falling down and the steel bows can not keep it upfig wrote:Nice paint; much better!
How's the reassembly going?
So I need to get material during the week and my Upholster will be doing the roof linning over with the soft Material I normally use
Then We will start with the assembly
When they stripped this bus they did not play stripping everything out of the Dash so there are a few headaces to over come on this one still
But hopefully we will get it sorted

Re: 78 late Bay , nope 1979
After only one week the progress has been amaizing.
Bugger has already fitted the doors. and fitted the rubbers on the doors.
The sliding door and the sliding door mechanism was completly reassembled.
New lights have been fitted and the bits were polished up
Also the 1600 was ditched and we will be fitting a nice 2L type 4. (the motor will be cleaned up a bit and fitted)

Re: 1979 Bay Rebuild ( *New Updates )
Looks really good! I have a pretty similar colour scheme on my '73, a bit more powdery blue and white and the interior has the same layout of light brown/tan and cream inlay (will have to update my project with some pics).
Nice!
Nice!

Sambas in South Africa are good for only 2 things: showing off and sunburn.

Thanks guys.. A Lot of work has gone into this bus and I can only thank Bugger and his crew for their hard work.

All of the work INCLUDING the upholstery was done in-house at bugger's place.who did your upholstory?
