Hi guys,
I have what I believe to be a late fleetline type bus. The previous owner told me it was imported from Brazil and the import date on the log book is 1990. I'm in the UK and nobody seems to have a clue what it is or where it comes from? Wondered whether is is from SA or Brazil, or made in one and shipped to the other?!
Just looking for a bit of history really and if anyone has a more detailed breakdown of what actually makes up this crazy bus?!
I believe there is only 1 other in the UK so am hoping there are some people down there that can help me out?!
Cheers,
Ed

Re: Late Fleetline?!
Looks LHD, so it was not from SA. Ours, from around 1976-1977/8, have the cargo doors on the other side.
Staying Aircooled is so much nicer.

Yes, it's LHD so wasn't assembled in SA. It's definitely a Brazilian bus.
I have seen pics of several more of those in the UK, so it's surely not one of two. Lately they seem to have become fashionable among certain people, so there are probably a lot more in the UK than you might think.

Re: Late Fleetline?!
Mmmm, and the true Fleetline (so called by VW SA) was a budget line splitty running with the German baywindows only in 1975 here in South Africa.
Nice looking bus you got there though..

Thanks for the replies guys, guess I need to go in search of a Brazilian forum, but it's difficult to find people that don't immediately think of the more recent nasty watercooled versions!
