Brand new here. G,day to all. Have had VW,s for so long Adolf traveled in one. Wife's 82 T3 camper, which I believe is the last of the air cooled is currently in the workshop. Rebuilt motor suffered from rattly lifters
and oil and brake lighting coming on. I do not know why the oil light comes on, pressure is great. I suspect the lifters destroy them self because they were made in China. We shall see. Should be finished again tomorrow. Wife uses it to travel in the outback going away for months on end. I sometimes catch up on her as I ride a K1200RS (BMW) Any one who can suggest a reason for the oil light coming on when there is good pressure there, respond to me via email. I suspect the printed circuit board has had the sausage.

Hi,

I'm a VW nutter in the UK. Due to some random VW googling I have just stumbled across the site. Looks good :D
I have a 74 bay at the moment. Previously I've had a 72 panel and a couple of beetles and a wizard ( over the past 20 years :hangloose: )

Hi there every one. My name is Martin Els and as you can see from my avatar I own a replica Porsche 356 that I recently acquired. I am in the process of deconstructing it with the aim to do a total rebuild and would like to keep it as close to the original as possible and with as much attention to detail as my bank manager will allow. I have not yet has a lot of time to explore the forum, but I am looking forward to spending some time sufing the pages of this forum. :D
Yes it is a replica, but it is mine!

Hi

Im from Greytown in the KZN midlands. I have always been a vintage junkie and own two other classice. I have also always been a Beetle/VW fan and recently purchased an original 1974 Kombi, Auto. Its in very good condition and absolutely original. I actually want to just keep it like that, scruff marks, wear and tear marks, dents and ALL. To my surprise my wife and kids have fallen head over heels in love with the Bus.

I look forward to may miles in it.

Still looking for the right Beetle.

Hi Guys - I'm Jim, a Brit but fairly regular visitor to SA. I'm currently completing the renovation and rebuild of a 1970 Beetle for my eldest daughter...been at it 6 years, but i travel a lot.... Had many vee dubs over the years- Beetles, Golf GTi's and Scirocco's, the odd Passat and tomorrow I pick up my new A5 TDi Quattro. I am lucky enough to have a variety of vehicles to play with; Porsche 993TT, my weekend ride, a 73 2.8 RSR replica track car, a Ducati Monster ..n wife has a Mini Cooper (BM variant)..oh and i'm also restoring a Davrian Imp 1970's Modsport race car - any of those in SA???
I use the moniker of Mazdaholic as i used to race RX7's many years ago and retain an ongoing fascination for rotary engines.

Right, back to the garage n these bloody window regulators (see opening post!)

Cheers,

JIM.

Hi guys, nice forum. I'm currently busy rebuilding a JT3000 Microbus (the 2.1 died), looking at fitting a 2L Golf motor
though as I'd like to tour the Kruger park with it. Been driving VW's (WC) for the last 10 years or so. You get to love them.
