Bleh.

Had my interest in them killed by a F'ing conniving bast*rd.

Sorry, distracting...

The man who can't decide on a project eh? :p

Didi,

Is this the same one from John Watson in PTA?

Just wondering...
If it's too low, you're too old

Hey didi, do you have the trim that goes down the sides of the car? What are your plans for this beauty? Are you gonna restore it to original or do a custom job?

Yes I have the side trim still in plastic wrapping, but the small front sections are missing.
I've got a brand new rebuilt 1192 motor with the car. Vintage VW helped me with some painted engine tin  (the ones on the car was not 100%) as well as the manifold and some other odds and ends.
He also bent the petrol pipes from the carb to the fuel pump and back through the firewall by hand. I think it's a nice touch. 8)
We spent late nights in a cold garage to get the engine right. We fired her up and I am relieved to say it sounds great!
At the moment I'm sorting out the window and door rubbers and electrics
Will keep you posted.

The Ghia is taking shape. Lights are installed. Later steering and steering wheel removed and original ones fitted (still need the horn button)

I don't like the cal look window rubber. I've got the chrome trim for the windows, so i'm going to change that.
