Cool cabbie though!

Heard a story that some guy ran out with a bucket on his head to save his dog!
Dog bit him!

I was in Pta in the early 80's when they got hit, hundreds of brand new Audis and Chevs were ruined in the open air parking lot in Proes Straat.Golfmad wrote:Ouch !!
Man I'm glad I live in Pretoria - our biggest hail is like peas, at best !

Yip It was a nasty one but I can still thank God that It was not worse as there were as mentioned earlier people admitted to Hospital from the hail
I rather sit with the damage than loss of life my buddy got also hit by a really funny looking hail stone and serious damage to arm and leg

Re: Hail in JHB area
Well, my Forester got hammered on Tuesday in Fourways....R40K odd damages. Took it to MF P/B for a quote and saw just how badly other cars got hammered in the "real hail" two weeks back. Suddenly I don't feel so bad.
To say MF are busy would be an understatement, I reckon they may get to my wagon in June or so.....

Re: Hail in JHB area
Unfortunately alot of property damage from the hailstorm
But on the up side for the people that get to fix it at least it creates some jobs just before
the festive season
my sister in law got caugt in the hailstorm with her 6 month old citroen c3 R76000 damage
thats about what my whole roof cost to replace

Re: Hail in JHB area
My daily ride got hit. R20k of damage and a lot of incovenience. Total damage for a lunch out with friends was over R200k. Glad I didnt take one of my AC's
Insurance companies must be crying. Job creation yes but I know of foreign companies been contracted in to sort the dents out. Sure some small insurance companies might go bust just in time for the holidays
