Dear Herman

Thank you very much for your offer to assist John.
I have mailed him your response and details.
Hopefully you will receive a call soonest.

I'm truly grateful to you and certain that we will all benefit from the wealth of knowledge that John can bring to this forum.

Big up to you! :hangloose:

Kind regards

John Lemon is having difficulty to get onto this forum. Can you please help him?
Please see his mail to me today:
I have had a lot of problems with e-mail and internet --- Telkom says it is rain damage from the floods we had here. Seems to have settled down now.

I am still having difficulty in getting onto the forum --- now it is my password that seems to be the problem. I have so many passwords for various situations maybe I am putting in the wrong one but I thought it was (^&(&^ ?

I want to get onto the forum because I am busy compiling paint codes and descriptions for SA Beetles as the overseas colours and codes are mostly different. So far I have 26 different colours mostly with numbers, over the years 1953 to 1978. That is only one colour a year !!! OK there were many years with overlapping colours so I suppose it is not as bad as it looks

What I need is for anybody who has a type number and description of the original paint for their car if they could let me know so I can add it to my list. As I am still having problems with the forum could you maybe post this request for me ?

Thanks and regards

John

Eben can you perhaps send him a new username & password to his email?

This would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks

Louis
Louis the last time I tried to assist, I was a victim of an over-zealous mail server on your side...
Strange enough our server is not in any block lists....
This is why my emails didn't reach you.

Wow Eben, that is very strange! Apologies from my side, it seems like our IT policies change daily.
Very inconsistent though!
Please advise whether you are still able to help and setup (perhaps send a new user & password) John Lemon.
Your time & efforts is highly respected.
Kind regards
Louis

Think we should think of an appropriate name for John, such as "VW Guru" or "Old Wise One" something that will make him stand out in this here forum, that will assist him to remember, and we can all phone him and remind him. :D

Will wait for his call.

John's username is john_lemon for future reference.
