A new plan
I new there was method in my madness.
Seeing as there are no Fridolins in this country, I have decided to build my own.
I already have both vehicles to do this. A Fasty and a Brazilia.
Should be easy enough to chop the 2 vehicles in half and join the fasty front with the brazilia rear.
A real "Postman Pat" van.
My kids already love the idea. Now to source a black cat.

Re: A new plan
Good idea!
You'll need a T14 pan...
You can chop all your cars up and make one Frid...
... Maybe you can put that Nissan 1400 water drinker under the panels so it's out of sight...

Re: A new plan
I remember seeing something like that at a show in the early 90's, they used a T1 front, the rear was a Bay pannelvan shortened, looked factory, very well done, had a Alfa Sud motor in the back.

Re: A new plan
You need more style to this here creation.
Should ask Mince to photo-shop.
Take the front nose of the Fastback, the centre section of the Brazilia, and the back end of a Split Beetle.
You must use the Bay Front Screen .
The Split back section will blend into the Van body very easy.
This will make the shape more stream lined and you can determine the length you need.
Then fit an Ford V6 into the back.
Think you have a winner here Dave.

Re: A new plan
There is of course nothing Type 3 about the front of a T-147, but it can be made to work, it is a good starting point, depending on how authentic you want to look.

Nothing is impossible... and like I said, it's a good plan. Speaking of plans, there are plans for a Frid on the internet, I saw them some time ago.
Yes, when I get back... eish... February...

Re: A new plan
Thanks for the link Herman; Here's the tricky part Dave: "...............While there is no common sheet metal.......,"
It really is a nice idea but the execution will take a bit of head-scratching to get right. Best way would be to try to get existing panels to fit and flow together in space with little or no modification, and then tie it all together with pieces made up to fit. Once you get into making significant changes to many of the existing panels you are in for a VERY long haul.....
Would be brilliant if done right though!!!
Not sure when FF's panel will be done. There is a MOUNTAIN of work on that one
