Or get a set of Impi's new design pushrod tubes.
No need to remove the heads.

The only substitute for cubic inches are more cubic inches.

Re: Camo BAJA in the Making
.
If you insist on Bolt ons I have a new set of polished ally covers R400 for the set with all gaskets / seals.
Another thing I noted, the adjustable push rod tubes .... will be leaking in no time, again stock items are the best, so if you going to pull the heads at any time change them.[/quote]
Hi Could you drop me a mail with Pics - and address - Im keen

I have the covers - but the previous owner had a fetish with odd size bolts - nuts - and a torque wrench --
The covers over the cycl were so tight -- he cracked chunks out of the covers around the nuts holding down -- so i need to replace these covers --or braze a washer over the chunks missing --
If you have 2 covers - id like to buy them - or i will have them brazed --

Decided to clean up the engine Bay before I slot the cleaner - shinier engine back into her..
Made up a Firewall -- so she looks a little cleaner back there

Re: Camo BAJA in the Making
inside I've replaced "green" sports steering wheel.. Window winders
Speedo .. Fuel gauge (back to mechanical type) ..
Will be fitting bucket seats up front
New seat belts ..
Pondering taking carpets out!
Fitting fire extinguisher and emergency kit
Fitting an old school period radio
Outside I'm mounting two jerry cans ~ one behind each door mounted above
The running board..
Working on a roof rack
Wanting a similar look to this

Re: Camo BAJA in the Making
Was Brave and decided to take brake Drum off to replace front wheel bearings and brake shoes...
FAAAAAAARrrrrrrrkkkk
I didn't find anything pleasant up front
Passanger side oiter wheel bearing plus two lock nuts fell out in my hand as I removed cap
The inside was just as scary .. Slave cyl dropped all her pistons etc as I removed the heavily worn shoes.
Drivers side .. What a mess..
The inner bearing had collapsed and siezed on the spindle shoes were metal on metal
How do people not hear this and just replace the R200 bearing and R90.. Shoes before this mangle mess
Is left.. All the rollers fell out of the drum as I pryed her off...
Now I need to cut the race with the dremel and the hammer / chisel ..
Looks like new spindles will be on my shopping list ..
Will remove back drums tonight so the shock is over ...
