Lets Drink to that
Guys If I had control over the People and machine shops then these things would have been done Long time ago already
I was stuffed around so badly with everyone but the Light is at the end of the Tunnel
I finally got the Bushes from the Guys that supplied them and then I have cut the Whole Steel Plate I had in to Straight Axle kits and 2 sets of Beetle Adjustable kits
I got the Kits back from the Guys that did the Welding for me but was just to late to get them Splined
So Now as soon as the Guys that will be doing the Splining open I will Drop all the parts off at them and hopefully end of Jan all will be done
Herb I changed all of the Kits to with out the cut out as it made everything just easier and also moved the adjusting parts closer to the splined bush to give much more clearance for wider wheels

Bugger wrote:Hi Guys
As they are Adjustable one of the major advantages is that when you jack the back up the wheel rim comes down completely out of the fender well so changing tyres will be a breeze as I know of 2 fellow members that have a real struggle when they need to replace tyres
I have a dics kit on the 15 window and 30mm spacer bringing the wheel more out and you can even fit a wider spacer for a nice wide rim
and there is about another 3 finger gap between the outer of the rim and the inner of the fender

Ok So there are the First 3 sets Ready for Collection and I stand by my original costing post as I recon it is by far alot cheaper than to import a adjustable Split bus set from over the water
Kevvy has Booked a set
Andreas has Booked a set
Then there are 1 set available who needs a name
I have only done 3 sets after the First R&D set as I need to firs sell these sets to get finances in to make a few more sets

Re: Split bus adjustable Straight Axle Kits finally done
KTS Customs Kevvies bus
Mike 15 window fleetline
Peter v Dyke
Another mate of mine in Pieters burg
I had alot of interested parties some I might have missed as it took a bit longer as anticipated to R&D And do it right the first time But I wanted to do it
Local and be able to supply instead of waiting for ever from the UK and shipping is expensive for the plates and 2 axle tubes as it is Quite heavy together
But I can assure you they are the Right material etc and work better than the imported ones as these can lock where you set them with out using lock tite
as the imported kit only have a Grub screw to lock I maved my Pivit Point closer to the Splines which gives you more room for a wider rim
and the Steel Blocks ate much thickker to accomodate the turning of the Locking nut on the Adjustable bolt
