To Buy or Not to Buy
Hi
I have an opportunity to buy a left hand drive split bus for a very good price. It has been recently resprayed with a new interior. Although the re-spray could have been better my initial inspection found a very solid bus. As usual however there are no papers. I know there are many guys on the forum with experience in putting these back on the road so i would really appreciate your input. I really don't want to end up with a new play house for the kids.

Re: To Buy or Not to Buy
Somehow you need to find out if the engine and chassis numbers are NOT on the police system marked as "stolen" before you buy.
If they are, the police will impound the car as soon as you arrive to obtain clearance certificates.

I am not very sure, but as far as I know, if it isnt on the system anymore, you cant register a left hand drive in SA any longer.

buy it cheaply, convert it to RHD and you're in the game.

There's a thread on the UK SSVC forums about doing a rhd conversion.
