Can only imagine how wavy those sides are going to get as the resin continues shrinking after you build it........

Doesn't matter how well it is done, post-cured, whatever. It WILL show up in time. Nice idea for anyone busy with one of these though:

The above idea is sound but structural foam should be used between layers of e-glass and epoxy. This creates an I-Beam effect that is immensely strong and will keep its shape. Most modern catamarans are built this way.

The yacht I am working on is 18m long and the sides look awesome and the weight is a heck of a lot less than a standard polyester resin boat. :D
