Anything to do in January ? Car museums ?

I will be visiting the Kaapstad region in january, approxim between 9 and 17 january. Anything to do or to see in that region at that moment in Time? would love to go hunting for south african sprint stars :-)

any aircooled shops, general oldtimer garages, or car museums that are worth to be visited ?

1st time in Cape Town, or South Africa???

Air Cooled Guys always welcome here, as long as they do not take our Toys with them when they leave !!

hahaha, didn't think of it that way ... :-) will try not to take your toys home, anyway, the wife will not like if i'd put some wheels in the luggage :-) first time in south afrika, yes ...

i see it's not far from the paarl region, where i will stay ... nice !

Just over the Franschhoek Pass (a must drive if you're in Franschhoek) in Villiersdorp is Andreno VW Engine Builders. There's always interesting stuff to see and Andre and Arno are great people as well.

Ok, will certainly do, surely check my website http://www.europeanbugin.com i am organising with two friends, vws are in my blood, i have had up until 10 aircoolers now maintaining and driving three busses,one beetle,one karmann,one 15oos, and daimy driving a newbie afslaandak !!! New word i learned at museum!!! Lol ... Going to resto now, will check forum tmorrow... Anyone on facebook my name is frederic peeters from ninove, belgium.

Make a turn in Kilarney Gardens at Flat Four Racing too. I'm sure Dave and Shaun will be happy to swap stories.

If you're from Ninove, you must know the Paul Medhurst and the T3D/T2D bunch that go there annually from England.

Will try to get in killarney gardens, but holiday is almost dond, however. , i am sure i will be back n ext year!!!

allrighty, probably will be over in same time as this year, januari, but as holiday was this nice it might be i'd be back to SA by august/september, weather is not that nice, i know, but as an european, i'm quite used to bad weather LOL
