KG - Positioning of side mouldings?

Post by Barry »

I need to apply the double side mouldings on a Karmann Ghia:

Can anyone give me a measurement on the height (from the bottom of the door) as well as the spacing between them?

Thanks

Hi Barry

Quick measurement on my Ghia shows the following:

The last two distances on the bottom rows(marked B) are only 15 cm - I reckon these are different as the rear part of the door slopes. Distance between the rest of the holes are 15,5 cm.

It's more difficult to measure the holes in the front and rear of the doors but I can give it a go if you want to.

(All measurements were made from the centre of the holes)

Great stuff Old Red!!! Thanks man - these mouldings are aftermarket ones, going on with 3M adhesive tape, so no holes needed. Just the height as you have shown.

Cheers!
