Will the flywheel nut work on a type 3 engine?

Had no eperience of working on type 3 although used to own a magnificent Variant. As far as I know the earliest editions (about 1961) were based on the Beetle 1200cc which itself was the basis of the subsequent 1300cc and 1600cc versions T1 and T2. The T3 apparently has a similar transmission set-up although the geometrics were different. But all this still means I don't know although logic might say it should fit. Its not that expensive so can always take a chance and resell if it doesn't fit. (I'm sure you know how much these cost new).
Hope that helps, a bit.

OK no problem. If you want to let me have your email and cell number then can fix up a plan and give directions by SMS. Maybe would be economical to pop it into a jiffy bag and mail to you if you do not want to come through to Kyalami. You can just do a EFT or something - no matter, whichever way you are most comfortable just let me know.
Sincerely,

You're welcome. Hope the rebuild goes well. If you give me a PO Box address will pop a copy of the John Muir VW engine sounds CD in the mail.
All the best.

Hi,
So sorry but it went last Friday. All the Beetle parts are now sold out. Only got Jetta 2 carburettor and Golf 1 carburettor and choke cable left.
