recently sorted mine and the only place who would do it was outsurance. R250pm for fire/theft/3rd party incl sound system valued at R5000, and a R270 joining fee.

Re: insurance on a beetle
I have my speedster done through Hollard. 3rd party fire and theft for replacement value of R100 000. Total cost is about R127 a month.
I did have to submit a engineers report as well as documentation to prove value and a build sheet with invoices.
I wouldn't even bother with comprehensive insurance for a normal daily driver beetle.
As for outsurance and budget.........pray that you never have to claim.

Discovery, 3rd P/F/T. Under R100, R25K value. No issues, they just did it as requested.
