Balancing
Is it worth balancing and maybe lightening the crank etc on a Type4 engine?
What is the maximum that a Type4 crank can spin to in standard form?

If it's too low, you're too old

You can spin it up to 6000Rpm with the right CAM
My friends t4 can spin up even higher but the valve bounce is keeping us back at the moment till the Titanium retainers and stronger springs
cos the stainless steel valves are heavy

Stainless got from v spares
But there are nowadays so many that can be made to fit valve wise
Blitz toy got noting to worry spinning 5500 thats a nice rpm
You can knife edge the crank but beware who does it can end up trowing the crank away by meat taken away at ceartain places and it could not be balanced anymore
