? Did you include my request in there too (& Armand's for that matter too) ? I'm in dire need of a bonnet, if I can't organize one then I might aswell break up the car for spares...

Yes Riaan I got all the PM's and messages on this post. I have send it through and are waiting to hear back from them. I know that they want to send me 1303 cars complete and assume that they will break them up for parts too. Hopefully they can help us with all the other parts as well.

Hi everyone

I know that they want to send complete cars, but I'm busy finding out if there is any RHD cars. They very keen to send me 3 cars, but I must also see about shipping and customs. I think it's better to send more parts and maybe a car or two. I'm also trying to get all the other parts that was requested by the members. I know it will be hard to find all the parts as requested by forum members, but all we can do is hope. I will keep everyone that asked in mind and let's see what happens.

Cool thanx Wernher, I am in a situation that I've spent enough money on the car to be on the point of no return, so the purchase of any and all parts have been halted until I can find a suitable bonnet, if I can't get a bonnet then it's pointless carrying on with the car, then I must cut my losses, sell or break the car for spares and get something else to play with.
Thanks for your help with this, from me & all the other 1303 owners out there..

I think you will find it cheaper to bring in parts, even if you strip the full car into bits, then to try to bring in a full car.

do not forget that there is heavy import tax and customs on full cars, but if you classified the parts as vintage, you should come out cheaper.
Also the space for parts is less, so you not paying freight on space.

Do calls before you ship, as it will save you thousands...... :D

I was thinking exactly the same. We can not register LHD anyway and most of the guys only need parts. If there is a RHD I'll bring it in, as you said, as "parts".

Hey guys

Just some feedback on the parts we all want. I have spoken to the guys in Austria about the parts. They are trying to see what they have and what is possible to get. Once I know which parts they can supply us with, I will let you all know. I can only look into the shipping once I know what they have and what the cost is. Then I need to get your approval, of course before shipping it.
I will keep everyone updated.

Thanks for your patience.

Hey guys
I know that everyone have been patiently waiting for me to find out about the parts. I spoke to Domi(Seller) this weekend and we agreed that it would be easier if everyone would email their request directly to him. Sorry if I have messed anyone around.
I know that he has 1303 parts and that he is willing to send complete cars as well.
Here is Domi's email

Please let me know if you don't get hold of him and sorry for the delay.

The bidding on it has closed already, I did manage to get a second hand (used) one that needs some attention but looks better than the one I have.

As for this whole parts from over the sea somewhere, I have given up, Wernher had a noble idea to help us lot with 1303's but I think the other side of the equation is not playing along..
I did email Domi and he did reply by saying he got my email, upon replying with another question to him it just went dead, never heard from him again.. :wtf:

Riaan
That was the main problem. It was hard to communicate and get hold of him. Domi seems to be busy with work and what started as an enthusiastic venture, turned into a bit of a headache. I hate making promises that I can not live up to. Sorry if I messed anyone around.
